Howdy, Feral  again!

The best thing about travelling with my friends and I is that you get to see lots of kangaroo’s, emus and sometimes goannas and echidna’s. They’re all our friends and not frightened away by our quiet footsteps as we sneak up on them. There’s so much to see out here and I have to admit Graham’s not too bad at telling a story or two! Don’t forget your camera.

Breakfast Tour

This is one of my favourites.  It only runs during the school holidays, but wow!  It’s brilliant.  There is no better time to be out and about than when the sun has just come up and all of my wildlife friends are still around.  It is a one hour ride followed by a cooked or continental breakfast – or both if you’ve really worked up an appetitie.

Half Hour Ride

This is a ride for those with limited time. We’ll still give you a camel riding experience to remember. Jump      aboard and we’ll take you through the bush to a place where you get a fantastic view of Devils Peak. Did you know the huge bare rock that makes up the top half of Devils Peak is not a part of the same mountain, it came from hundreds of kilometers to the north, no-one knows how it was moved? (I think Australia’s wild camels moved it as a joke on you humans)

One Hour Ride

Relax in rocking chair comfort – we’re not called “ships of the desert” for nothing. We’ll take you through native mallee bush land and up on to the ridge where you can look down into the fantastic Pichi Richi Valley. Did you know that the words Pichi Richi are an early settler slur of the Aboriginal word Piturie which is a type of tobacco. The Pichi Richi Pass or Valley used to have hundreds of these rare bushes and was an important Aboriginal trade route. There are still some out there if you know where to look! Come and visit me, that’s just the beginning, there is SO much to explore here.
